Subject [jira] [Commented] (SOLR-2440) Schema Browser more user friendly
Date Fri, 07 Oct 2011 12:57:30 GMT

Stefan Matheis (steffkes) commented on SOLR-2440:

bq. the new interface is nice (well some colors have too low contrast) so I changed the screen
.css ...
may i ask you to upload a patch and share your changes? the current layout is just work-in-progress

bq. but still it lakes this functionality of drill down to some sample documents
i'd like to integrate what you're looking for, but actually i have no idea how it could/should
look like? applying your patch adds an form-field on the top of the page and changing the
value executes a bunch of ajax-requests, but i see no changes on the page itself!?

> The schema browser has some drawbacks
> * Does not sort the fields (the actual sorting seems arbritrary)
> * Capitalises all field names. Making difficult the match
> * Does not allow a drill down
> This small patch solves the three issues:
> # Changes the Css to do not capitalise the links
> # Sorts the field names
> # It replaces the tokens by links to a search query with that token
> that's all
