Subject [jira] Updated: (LUCENE-2504) sorting performance regression
Date Tue, 14 Sep 2010 21:27:33 GMT

Yonik Seeley updated LUCENE-2504:

    Attachment: LUCENE-2504_SortMissingLast.patch

This was a simple attempt to try and simplify the comparators. Static classes are used instead
of inner classes. Unfortunately, it didn't help the JVMs from getting stuck in badly optimized
code (it was a long shot for that), but it does result in a consistent 4% speedup.

It looks as simple as the previous version to my eye, so I'll commit if there are no objections.
