Stefan, just checking, are you using Solr 1.4?  It contains efficiency improvements in this
regard that are very important for this use case.  Also, I recommend that your firstSearcher
queries contain the faceting you need so that users never see this delay.  I don't think this
needs to go in newSearcher but I could be wrong.
