A Scheduled Split Rule For Sub-Dividing Indices At Fixed Intervals
------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: LUCENE-2427
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LUCENE-2427
             Project: Lucene - Java
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: contrib/*, Index
    Affects Versions: 3.0.1
            Reporter: Karthick Sankarachary

(Please note that the feature described in LUCENE-2325 is required reading for this issue.)

Herein, we define a scheduled split rule that causes a split to occur in the split index to
which it applies, at regular time periods, with or without an initial delay. In essence, this
allows the arrangement of sub-indices in a split index to be re-organized at fixed-rate intervals.
