Subject [jira] Commented: (LUCENE-1940) Refactor ScorerDocQueue that it subclasses PriorityQueue<HeapedScorerDoc>
Date Fri, 02 Oct 2009 19:28:23 GMT

Paul Elschot commented on LUCENE-1940:

Uwe, thanks for opening this issue.

I'll collect the performance testing code from the earlier issue LUCENE-365 and give the refactoring
to subclass PriorityQueue<HeapedScorerDoc> a try.

That could take some time, but then I have not seen 3.1 mentioned yet...

> This is a followup of LUCENE-1935: ScorerDocQueue currently duplicates lots of code from
PQ. Using the new generics in PQ since 1935, it is possible to subclass it from generic typed
PriorityQueue<HeapedScorerDoc>. This class only needs to add some of the special methods,
and should have the same API as before, as it is public.
