Subject [jira] Commented: (LUCENE-1796) Speed up repeated TokenStream init

Mark Miller commented on LUCENE-1796:
-------------------------------------

Yes indeed, its very close now.

The filters are:

          <tokenizer class="solr.WhitespaceTokenizerFactory"/>
          <filter class="solr.WordDelimiterFilterFactory" generateWordParts="1" generateNumberParts="0"
catenateWords="0" catenateNumbers="0" catenateAll="0"/>
          <filter class="solr.LowerCaseFilterFactory"/>

So I guess its 1 and 1? Lowercase comes from Lucene and implements increment, but WordDelim
just does next. The other hotspot was (though much less of one) TokenStream<init>(AttributeSource)
- if implementing increment relieves that, it might be the same speed after.
