Subject [jira] Commented: (LUCENE-966) A faster JFlex-based replacement for StandardAnalyzer

Grant Ingersoll commented on LUCENE-966:
----------------------------------------

+1 for deprecating StandardAnalyzer, although it is a little weird to have a StandardAnalyzer2,
which is it the standard or not? Maybe we could call it the DefaultAnalyzer or something
like that. I never much cared for tacking on numbers on the end of class names.

I agree with Mike M's last comment and approach, though, if that proves to be the case for
the differences.

> JFlex (http://www.jflex.de/) can be used to generate a faster (up to several times) replacement
for StandardAnalyzer. Will add a patch and a simple benchmark code in a while.
