yes, I agree.  I've added it.

re: date sorting
sounds like a good idea.  I am assuming you are not refering to the existing
DateField.  one thing that would make these different is the need to specify the
format.  I'll let that be a later enhancement ...

re: Sort in Searchable#search()
I went ahead and changed this to use Sort instead of SortField[].

will be sending the new code shortly ...
