That's right.  The design is that all search operations that can be feasably
implemented remotely should be performable on any Searchable, and other search
operations that can only be implemented locally are Searcher methods.  This way
the operations are available to the widest possible audience.  As it stands,
your new sorted options are only available to folks with a single, local index,
and not to folks who need to search multiple or remote indexes.  As I outlined
above, I don't think it should be too hard to extend them in this way.

Are you willing to implement this?  Result sorting is one of the most frequently
asked-for features.  Having this fully integrated into the 1.4 release would be
great.
