+1 on the javadoc changes.

I'm all for the logging too, if someone wants to submit diffs.  Where else would
Lucene benefit from logging?  Would it be better at this point to wait for JDK
1.4 to get in broad distribution and then just use the java.util.logging stuff?
 Or use log4j?  Probably a logging discussion should be in a separate thread...
