You can configure log4net to write the logs wherever you want.

For example,

    <appender name="RollingFile"
type="log4net.Appender.RollingFileAppender">
        <file value="logs/theapp.log" />

Note that if you use a relative path, it is relative to the application
path, or you can use a absolute path....

    <appender name="RollingFile"
type="log4net.Appender.RollingFileAppender">
        <file value="c:/someplace/logs/theapp.log" />
