Ray,

You don't have to change anything in the way that you request loggers.

Internally the loggers are split into repositories (that were also once
know as domains). Each repository must be configured separately. 
The old behaviour was to associate each assembly with a separate
repository, this allowed each assembly to have a different logging
configuration. However this proved to be too confusing and not very
useful in practice, and this is the issue that I think you have run
into. 
The current behaviour is that unless an Assembly specifically requests a
separate repository it will be associated with the default repository
and will share the same configuration as the other Assemblies.
