Subject simple log4j.properties question on excluding classes
Date Fri, 15 May 2009 19:06:09 GMT
Hi,

Typically I have a setup like:

log4j.rootLogger=ERROR, console, file
...
log4j.logger.com.mypackage=DEBUG

but then classes in com.mypackage are not logged in debug since
rootLogger is ERROR. However, if I setup rootLogger to use DEBUG then it
logs too much... I know I can go thru and setup a bunch of statements like

log4j.logger.org.apache=ERROR and so on, but I have so many dependencies
I don't want to have to do this for every namespace that is not my
own... is there some simple solution?

Thanks, Jason
