Subject [jira] [Created] (LOG4J2-335) FlumePersistentManager has high CPU usage
Date Fri, 02 Aug 2013 15:41:48 GMT
Ralph Goers created LOG4J2-335:

Summary: FlumePersistentManager has high CPU usage
                 Key: LOG4J2-335
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LOG4J2-335
             Project: Log4j 2
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Flume Appender
    Affects Versions: 2.0-beta8
            Reporter: Ralph Goers

FlumePersistentManager wakes up each time an event is written and checks whether anything
should be done. In that is writing logs fairly frequently this results in high CPU usage in
the writer thread.
