Subject [jira] [Created] (LOG4J2-294) Allow getLogger() calls with no logger name provided
Date Tue, 25 Jun 2013 16:40:19 GMT
Ralph Goers created LOG4J2-294:

Summary: Allow getLogger() calls with no logger name provided
                 Key: LOG4J2-294
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LOG4J2-294
             Project: Log4j 2
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: API
    Affects Versions: 2.0-beta7
            Reporter: Ralph Goers

Callers to getLogger are required to pass in a Logger name. Most of the time this name will
be the name of the class the getLogger call is in. It would be nice to make this the default
so that users can just call LogManager.getLogger().
