Ralph,

My bad, I typoed. Meant to say the sample WAR was compiled with Java 7, not Java 6.

If someone could respond to my analysis in the comment immediately above and let me know if
my assumptions are correct and what the answers to my questions are, I'd be in a good position
to make some recommendations about how I think this could all be improved, vis-à-vis {{web-fragment.xml}}.
