           Summary: Localization of logging messages
           Product: Log4j
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: Other
        AssignedTo: log4j-dev@logging.apache.org
        ReportedBy: carnold@apache.org

This is a spin off of the Locale related issues raised in bug 32064 and combined with concerns
raised in
discussions on commons-dev and log4j-dev mailing lists on December 2004.

It would be beneficial if log4j had mechanisms to:

Configure a Locale to be used for logging distinct from the application default locale
Support localization of logging messages, level keywords etc.
