Summary: losing previous days logs after rotation.
           Product: Log4j
           Version: 1.2
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Solaris
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P2
         Component: Other
        AssignedTo: log4j-dev@logging.apache.org
        ReportedBy: madurina.seelam@cingular.com

We have the log4j setup using DailyRollingfileAppender with option "'.' yyyy-
MM-dd".
The rolling happens properly in QA but in production, the previous days file
just has data from midnight 12PM to 1:00AM.

questions are why is the previous days file having daya of today.
why did it erase the existing data and right this.

We are not to decide what causing this both 2 thing of interest are.
In production we have to managed server writing to this file.
the servers are restart at aroun 1:00AM.
any kind of help is greatly appreciated.
