Summary: SocketAppender throws a full stacktrace during
                    initialization
           Product: Log4j
           Version: 1.2
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Appender
        AssignedTo: log4j-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: hermod.opstvedt@dnb.no

SocketAppender throws a full stacktrace during initialization, i a listener is
not available. Consider catching the java.net.ConnectException, and only give a
simple message using loglog as is done with IOException
