RollingFileAppender and DailyRollingFileAppender simply use the setFile method 
of their parent class. There is no intention to change this. 
CompositeRollingAppender is required to adapt which we cannot do instead of the 
author. 

More importantly, log4j 1.3 will use a different mathod for rolling files. I do 
not wish to invest energy in code which will be totally obsolete in a few 
months time.
