Logging Services Project Report - May 2004 ------------------------------------------ * The log4j team is working feverishly towards an alpha release for version 1.3 which will incorporate a large set of new features. We are also working with projects dependent on log4j, such as commons-logging, to ensure backward compatibility. * Log4j's Chainsaw tool is now accessible via Java Web Start. The Logging Services PMC is committed to exploring and evaluating new ideas for enhancing functionality and productivity of System Administrators. * The log4cxx project updated its licence to Apache 2.0. It released version 0.9.7, it's first version under the Apache Logging Services umbrella. * Marco: Please add a few words on log4php here. * Nicko: Please add a few words on log4net here.
