Howdy,
The logger hierarchy is the same as the class hierarchy in most default
standard configurations.  You can configure it however you want both via
configuration files and programmatically, however.  You can go as far as
creating custom Hierarchy objects.

This is a question for the log4j-user list rather than the general list,
so please continue the discussion there if you wish.
