Hi Marco,

karaf 2.2.4 is quite ancient. Can you try to reproduce this with the 
most current 2.2.x (2.2.11) ?
I am quite sure that uninstalling a feature should also uninstall the 
subfeatures. (As long as they are not used in other features)
