Roland Hauser commented on KARAF-4484:
--------------------------------------

Thank you, it works now! I had to change the dependency scope from "runtime" to "compile"
for the standard features dependency:
{code}
<dependency>
	<groupId>org.apache.karaf.features</groupId>
	<artifactId>standard</artifactId>
	<classifier>features</classifier>
	<version>${version.org.apache.karaf}</version>
	<type>xml</type>
	<!-- <scope>runtime</scope> -->
</dependency>
{code}

No change for the framework dependency was necessary.

> We build our own Karaf distribution and use therefore the karaf-maven-plugin. When a
distribution is build with following configuration, logging works:
> {code}
> <bootFeatures>
> <feature>standard</feature>
> </bootFeatures>
> {code}
> When the eventadmin feature is added to the configuration, logging stops to work:
> {code}
> <bootFeatures>
> <feature>standard</feature>
> <feature>eventadmin</feature>
> </bootFeatures>
> {code}
> I'm pretty sure that other stuff won't work as expected as well, for instance when I
want to list all bundles on the console with command bundle:list, an empty list is displayed
which cannot be correct:
> {code}
> appsrvadm@root()> bundle:list
> START LEVEL 100 , List Threshold: 50
> ID | State | Lvl | Version | Name
> ---------------------------------
> {code}
> The same happens, when we install the eventadmin feature after start via command line.
This might be related to KARAF-3739
