Guillaume Nodet commented on KARAF-2888:
----------------------------------------

Note that in order to get the integration tests to pass, automatic refresh has been disabled.
This is because the refresh was broken previously and not all bundles were refreshed. If
set to true, a lot of tests will cause the features service to be refreshed (because of the
installation of eventadmin for example) which will in turn cause the probe test bundle to
be refreshed or at least the FeaturesService to become unregistered, which cause failures
in the test.

> This new service will be the basic foundation to allow:
> * automatic uninstallation of dependant features
> * upgrading features to new versions
> * requesting features with ranges
> The idea is to persist a list of *required* features instead of a list of *installed*
features so that when the requirements are changed by the user, any transitive feature will
be automatically uninstalled. The resolution of bundles will be done using the felix resolver
so that the results are guaranteed to be applicable in the real osgi framework.
