Jean-Baptiste Onofré resolved KARAF-1060.

    Resolution: Won't Fix

The important part is the header (#!/bin/sh).

Using pure /bin/sh allow Karaf to work with any shell (bash and zsh on Linux, csh and ksh
on Solaris/AIX).

The extension doesn't make sense on Unix.

I don't think it's a good reason to change it if the purpose is to have a support in an editor.

More over, I'm quite sure that any "good" shell editor could detect the header ;)

> currently, windows /bin files have extensions, such as
> karaf.bat
> but unix, do not:
> karaf
> I suggest to use, instead:
> karaf.sh
> so that I can associate *.sh with bash editors like this
