Hi 

I think I got it.
I can use 
                Desktop.browse(URI)
OR
                Runtime.getRuntime().exec("rundll32 url.dll,
FileProtocolHandler", "http://www.sun.java.com");

I will try it out tommorrow and let you know the result.
