Subject [jira] Created: (JSPWIKI-489) Searching with wildcards
Date Mon, 02 Feb 2009 15:55:59 GMT
Searching with wildcards
-------------------------

                 Key: JSPWIKI-489
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JSPWIKI-489
             Project: JSPWiki
          Issue Type: Bug
    Affects Versions: 2.8.1
            Reporter: Bruno Peeters

We have noticed that searching for two letter words is not possible, e.g. looking for "AS
IS". Sometimes it could be nice if this would be possible, but this is not the point of this
issue.

A search for "%%sub" (or for "%%sup") results in all pages where these formatting instructions
are used.

A search for "su*" results in lots of pages where words starting with "su" appear.

A search for "%%su*" is however unsuccessful, no pages are found, although there are indeed
pages with %%sup en %%sub.
