Hi,

I would suggest a different approach.


   1. Download the BlazeMeter - Concurrency thread group (from the
   jmeter-plugins.org or the JMeter Plugin Manager)
   2. Use a variable / JMeter Property as the amount of threads
   3. Change the variable during the test with a JSR223 / BeanShell element.
