To: user@jmeter.apache.org MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Virus-Checked: Checked by ClamAV on apache.org Hello,=20 New to JMETER , and have a question regarding Config Element->Counter. In my thread group, my first element is a Counter.=A0 I want to=20 use this counter to construct a logon id, where logon ids are=20 user0001, user0002, user0003 etc.=A0 When loop count > 1,=20 the logon id will be the same for each loop of that user. I expected that Counter would always equal __threadNum, such that=20 when __threadNum=3D2, Counter=3D2 as well. Instead, Counter is being incremented with each run of the=20 thread group.=20 As a test, I created a user parameter: threadrun=3D${__threadNum}${__counte= r(true)} The values when I run the test using Number of threads=3D2 and Loop Count= =3D2 are: =A0 =A0=A0=A0Counter =3D 0001 =A0 =A0=A0=A0threadrun =3D 11 =A0 =A0=A0=A0Counter =3D 0002 =A0 =A0=A0=A0threadrun =3D 21 =A0 =A0=A0=A0Counter =3D 0003=A0 (I want this to be 0001) =A0 =A0=A0=A0threadrun =3D 12 (correct!) =A0 =A0=A0=A0Counter =3D 0004=A0 (I want this to be 0002) =A0 =A0=A0=A0threadrun =3D 22 (correct!) 1.=A0 How can I get Counter to match thread number? 2. If that is not possible, how can I use __threadNum to construct my logon= id.=A0=20 =A0 =A0 __threadNum value is consistently correct, but it does not have the= leading=20 =A0=A0=A0zeros that I need.=20 I hope my post is clear, and I thank you for help in advance. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: user-unsubscribe@jmeter.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: user-help@jmeter.apache.org
