Subject ERROR - jmeter.reporters.ResultCollector

I have a problem when I try to use remote testing. JMeter doesn't save the results to file.
In jmetere.log file the error message is:
   
  ERROR - jmeter.reporters.ResultCollector:  java.lang.NullPointerException

  The error is encountered when I add the "Save Active Thread Count" to the listener during
Remote testing.
   
  The error is not encountered when I dont add "Save Active Thread Count" to the listener
during Remote testing.
   
  The error is not encountered whn I click on Start to run the test.
   
  The jmeter version is 2.2
