To go back to the original problem - are you sure that the original
references use & and not &amp; ?

The Regex extractor definitely won't encode &, and I don't think the
sampler does either.

What does the Tree View Listener show for the result?

In fact, I've just done a test with a page containing:

<a href="http://localhost:8080/test.html?abc=def&xyz=uvw">?abc=def&xyz=uvw</a>
<br>
<a href="http://localhost:8080/test.html?abc=def&amp;xyz=uvw">?abc=def&amp;xyz=uvw</a>

In both cases the display looks like:

?abc=def&xyz=uvw

and the &amp; is shown as & in the status bar as well in all the
browsers I tried: MSIE 7, FireFox, Opera, Off By One.

The RE correctly extracts the actual source.
