Are you receiving an error in the dos prompt, or does it go away too fast?
If so, bring up an actual DOS prompt at the proper location (bin) and type
'jmeter' and see what the output is.

Whenever I start up jmeter.bat file the dos prompt comes up the but the
application doesn't start. Do I have environment variables set wrong or is
this a possible bug?
