Subject [GitHub] jmeter pull request #255: Utilised Java 8 (and 7) features to tidy up code

    Utilised Java 8 (and 7) features to tidy up code

    Used lambdas, method references, multi-catch blocks and `ThreadLocal.withInitial` to improve
code readability.
    Also removed unnecessary types.
