Subject Re: Java 7 and 8 features
Date Tue, 27 Oct 2015 23:30:52 GMT
Hi,
The answers from other committers are also valid for us :
- we have to take into account that not all users can be on last version of
Java8
- it takes time to do and we tend to prefer working on new features visible
to users than internal refactoring although there has been a lot of work in
this field in the last years

BUT, next version of JMeter will have a minimum requirement of Java7 AND
the team and contributors are using Java7 syntax sugar and new features :

See all code changes in svn commit links.

when we upgrade to Java8, we'll be happy to play with lambdas and all the
new sexy stuff.

Feel free to help us improving by contributing patches

Regards
