Thanks for the response Eric.
Since I am already using JDBC and mySql for my repository, I should be able 
to implement this.
I noted that there is a broken hyperlink in the section noted below:

JDBCVirtualUserTable
First of all, you should READ the following: 
http://james.apache.org/FAQ.html#7
(FAQ.html doesn't exist)
