Thanx for ur reply..and phoenix got shutdown and when im again running I got
this error..But  java is there in bin...or should I point to JRE..please
help me out..

root@avyakta-ind-lab1:/usr/share/james2.3.1/bin# ./phoenix.sh stop

Running Phoenix:
