Yes, to explain this a bit more, in config.xml you associate URL 
prefixes for stores to a given class.  For example, file:// maps to 
org.apache.james.mailrepository.AvalonMailRepository.  The two types of 
repository are MAIL and SPOOL, and you only need to try to implement the 
former.

The mail repository API isn't too complicated, and if you can get it 
working and are willing to submit it, that'd be great.
