Good job. Works for me.

(1) I guess you talk about "Maximal" and not "mutable", but please don't use "dom" for Maximal
stuff. Use any other package that make sense to you but not the "dom" tree.

(2) I don't have preferences. Feel free to do the changes in trunk.
