Daryl,

Its my understanding that JSTL 1.1 (and onward) do not use the ELEvaluator
from JSTL code. Instead JSTL delegates that to JSP.

Have you tried this with JSTL 1.1 ?

P.S: I am new to JSP and JSTL. It would help if you could send/or attach
a test case to the bug that I can try.
