Any JDBC-compliant database driver should do the trick for testing, although
there's a tiny bit of setup involved (creating a table). I thought about
using the tag library to create the table, but it seemed too intrusive.

The tests don't (and I think can't) do the really complex stuff such as
CLOBs and BLOBs. I anticipate that stuff getting filled out in time.
There's a tiny bit on that in the to-do, if you're interested.

Will do.

It would be cool if it shipped with a Hypersonic d.b. that would run out of
the box. What kind of database/tables/drivers are needed for testing the
taglib? Should I RTFM?

Hi all,

I'm going to try finishing up the JDBC taglib documentation this weekend and
prepare it for release. Next week we can vote on whether or not it is
ready. If you want to check out the source code beforehand, please feel
free.
