Hi all
	i developed a JSP Custom tag for sending a request in XML format..
i explain below what i mean

i have a form with some parameters

let's say
<form>
<input type="text" name="name" />
<input type="text" name="surname">
<input type="submit" />
</form>

i have a tag called
<marco:request />

the form, when submitted, point to the page itself (there is no action
specified)

if the parameter "
this <marco:request /> tag fetches the parameters of the request and build
an XML String out of that
like

<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<parameter>Value Entered by the user for the Name</parameter>
<parameter>Value Entered by the user for the Surname</parameter>

(obvioulsy it can easily changed)

then it stores in the session and forward the request another application

i would like to know what do u think of this compared to the other approach,
in which i send the form to the application, which is in charge of
extracting the parameters from the request and then build the XML String out
of that

the scenario using Model 2 architecture will be like that:

USING CUSTOM TAG

JSP/FORM -> servlet -> action class ..the action class extracts the XML
String from the Session (it's not possible to store the XML String in a
request Attribute as far as i know/tried) and call some application using
XML as data exchange format

JSP/FORM -> servlet -> action class.. the action class extracts the
parameters from the request and build an XML String out of that and call
some application using XML as data exchange format

if the tag is not 'useless' i would like to submit it to the jakarta project

regards
	marco
