This would still require me to allocate a map and populate it with the
attributes? (wouldn't it).  It seems to me that the purpose of using tags is
code reuse without cluttering up the page with a lot of code fragments.
Appreciate your suggestion, but it still seems unsatisfying to me, however,
if it's what I have to do, ohh well.

A third alternative is to pass a Map of attribute/value pairs that the tag
library uses to build up the underlying HTML tag.
