By the way.... someone posted some figures to Java-Dev on Apple's 
lists.  They performed some tests on performance comparing 1.4's 
regex and ORO.

He provided the regex, but didn't supply the input.

I've asked him for the input so we might be able to look at 
performance issues in 1.4.
