JCS looks promising, but so does EHCache. I think in order to stay competitive with EHCache it would be good to implement net.sf.jsr107cache As far as I can tell at the moment JCS looks technically more promising then EHCache, but I feel a little worried about the lack of activity on the project for at least the last half year and there has not been a major release for a long time.
