Short answer: Your question is http unit related and should be asked on the
httpunit mailing list.

Now, if you're doing functional testing, you should not use Cactus. It is
only meant to be used for unit testing. It can do some functional testing
too, but at the unit level. That means that if you're
servlet/JSP/filter/...returns the HTML corresponding to the top frame,
you'll be able to assert the content. However, do not expect Cactus to
automatically issue other calls for getting the individual frames .... this
would be pure functional testing. For that you should use HttpUnit directly.
