Subject AW: What is the system impact of running Janitor?
Date Tue, 07 May 2013 05:27:57 GMT
Hi Jay,

The Janitor is described here ...
http://wiki.apache.org/jackrabbit/Clustering#Removing_Old_Revisions

You can enabled the janitor without any headaches .. you will have no impacts ..

As described on wiki the revisions will be used to bring a new cluster member and also running
cluster members
into sync. If you are planning to add a new cluster member later it's also possible without
the old revisions ...

- janitorSleep specifies the sleep time of the clean-up task in seconds (only useful when
the clean-up task is enabled, default is 24 hours)
.. means how long will the thread sleep between next run ..

greets
claus
