It's also worth noting that the levels of implementation of the spec
between the RMI and the preferred davex remoting are not the same.
This means that if you spend too much time developing against the RMI
implementation, and you then migrate to the davex, you will find that
a fair bit of code will need to be re-written.  I highly recommend
starting directly from the davex if you suspect you will need to go
there, which you will if you anticipate performance requirements of
any non-trivial levels.
