Subject Storing (Image) Files in Webroot
Date Thu, 09 Jun 2011 07:29:27 GMT
Hi,

I'm playing around wit Jackrabbit for my (CMS) Webapplication and cross an
issue where i need a little bit support.

Storing files with the DataStore works very well, but when i upload images
which should be rendered in the front end I'm not able to address them
directly, because of the internal DataStore file structure.

I.E.:
I upload holidayImage.jpg to /images/holiday/holidayImage.jpg the repository
will store it in ${rep.home}/datastore/74/98/7/74987derfgtrfdsdeerrgtgffdfd
(something like that).
This path is unusable for my front end, when i try to load <img
src="/images/holiday/holidayImage.jpg" />, it can't work. And i don't want
to do an request which encodes the image path every time i load an image
(Performance issue).

So i want to tell the repository, that it should store my files under
${rep.home}/datastore/images/holiday/holidayImage.jpg. Is their a way to
implement such functionality?

Have a good day
Sascha
