that's most likely caused by misconfiguration.
make sure you're specifying "mysql" as schema, i.e.

 <FileSystem class="org.apache.jackrabbit.core.fs.db.DbFileSystem">
    [...]
    <param name="schema" value="mysql"/>
    [...]
</FileSystem>
